Michael Watson took up boxing at the age of fourteen after being beaten up by the local bully. He started out at the Crown and Manor boxing club, where he proved to be a quick learner, winning the 1980 London Schools title in the under-71kg weight class.

It injected the might in me and gave me something to focus on. I'm an overcome. I did it by putting my faith in God.

Steve Collins, The Celtic Warrior. Steve was born on 21 July 1964, in Cabra, Dublin, Ireland.
Collins is perhaps the least heralded but most successful of the middleweights of the early '90s, boasting win doubles over both Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn.
When given his chance against Chris Eubank in '95, Collins, though the WBO middleweight champion, was a stand-in for Ray Close and was not expected to trouble the long-reigning super-middleweight king.
The Irishman managed to psyche out Eubank from the start, though, with claims that he had been hypnotised and was incapable of losing!
In the fight, his hard-working approach was too much for the showboating Eubank, and the same proved true in the re-match.
